Specialist distributor Heilind launches into Europe

“Since we acquired MPS 18 months ago we have invested heavily in more franchises and inventory,” said Martin Kent, the company’s President of Asian and European operations. ““We see Europe as a huge potential market for our products and have expanded the number of line items in our inventory by over 80%, invested in our IT infrastructure and increased the number of employees by at least 40%.”

Since moving into the Asian in 2013 it has seen growth at rates well above that of the overall market and is looking to replicate that performance in Europe. Its decision to move into the European market, primarily serving Germany, means that the company will now be able to serve its customers on a global level.

A specialist distributor in interconnect, electromechanical and sensor products Heilind’s distribution model looks to service customers without any MOQ (minimum order quantity) restrictions and has, to date, proved successful in both the US and Asia.

“We look to provide our customers with the widest breadth and depth of product within a focused range, as well as providing value added services such as assembly and part adaptation,” explained Kent. He continued. “By adding thousands of new products to the European offer, our customers will now have an unprecedented choice of components and access to a suite of value added services.”
