The PathWave Design 2020 software suite includes new releases of the company's flagship products: PathWave Advanced Design System 2020, PathWave RFIC Design 2020, PathWave System Design 2020 and PathWave RF Synthesis 2020.
With technologies putting greater pressure on electronic design with the need for longer battery life, smaller components, and higher levels of integration, design requirements are growing in complexity, as the amount of data continues to increase. Analysing and correlating that data requires multiple, non-integrated design tools that create unnecessary complexities.
In fact, in a recent survey for Keysight, data correlation and software integration were identified as the most pressing challenges faced by design and test engineers. According to the survey, over 90% of respondents want to accelerate time-to-market with an integrated product development solution that enables data sharing.
PathWave Design looks to accelerate product development by reducing the time engineers spend in the design and simulation phase. Its libraries and customised simulators reduce setup time and automation improvements reduce manual work. The software integrates circuit design, electromagnetic (EM) simulation, layout capabilities, and system level modelling, reducing time needed for importing and exporting designs and fixing errors associated with changing tools.
"Creating efficiency in the product development workflow is an industry challenge, particularly in design and simulation,” explained Todd Cutler, vice president and general manager of design and test software at Keysight. "PathWave Design 2020 provides engineers with new tools and software enhancements that shorten the design cycle and eliminate project delays by adding new efficiencies to their RF and microwave, 5G, and automotive work flows.”
PathWave software enables agile and connected design and test and incorporates advanced analytics that create immediate, actionable insights for development and manufacturing teams.
