By building on its mature product portfolio and existing large-scale LTE deployments at tier one operators, T&W intends to embed 5G technology into its existing product line.
Through the combination of Qualcomm FSM100xx 5G Platform with T&W's high layers ubiquitous software, the company hopes to provide best in class 5G Small Cells systems.
T&W 5G Small Cell product will support both sub 6 GHz and mmWave frequencies to cover the different demands by different service providers. The product will support different layer splits to accommodate different front haul/ computational requirements. T&W will leverage its existing LTE solutions to support both LTE and 5G services.
