STMicro partners with Kilopass for OTP NVM memory

Implemented in the advanced FinFet process from TSMC, the XPM IP stores configuration settings for automotive peripheral sensors.

“Our team has worked hard to ensure our IP meets the auto industry’s stringent ISO/TS 16949, ISO 26262, and AEC-Q100 standards,” said Linh Hong, vice president and general manager of the Kilopass OTP Division.

“In addition, Kilopass’ long and extensive relationship with TSMC has enabled us to offer our standard logic CMOS OTP NVM anti-fuse products on every TSMC node from 180nm to today’s leading edge processes.”

According to the company, the memory can contain calibration and temperature-compensation data for sensors and configuration information that can be updated and then individually locked to prevent change or erasure.

Implemented in any standard logic CMOS process, the memory once programmed cannot be altered, nor can it be hacked by physical or side channel attacks.
