RS describes DesignSpark as a global community of engineers, where it offers free MCAD and ECAD design software, CAD neutral libraries and a host of other resources.

As the result of a referral, both existing and newly registered members are entered into a quarterly prize draw. Entry into the draw is automatic for anyone who registers for DesignSpark membership adding the username of an existing member when prompted during the registration process.
There are no limitations on the number of referrals, which means the odds of winning are increased for multiple referrals by existing members. Prizes include a Fitbit tracker plus £500 of products stocked by RS.
In addition, the top referring DesignSpark member, who has the highest number of new members quoting their username each quarter, will win an exclusive DesignSpark goody bag.
DesignSpark has over 850,000 members, where engineers can connect with fellow engineers around the world. The first draw will take place on Monday 13 January 2020, for all referrals made between 4 October 2019 and 12 January 2020.
