LED Eco Lights launches wireless LED lighting control that ‘provides 95% energy savings’

The system, named Light Boss, is triggered by occupancy or daylight. That means it only switches on where and when it is needed.

“Automated lighting networks can radically reduce energy consumption without affecting lighting performance,” commented Saima Shafi, Sales and Marketing Director at LED Eco Lights. “Light Boss makes it easy to design, optimise and extend a lighting network. Typical savings, when combined with Goodlight LED luminaires are between 60-95%, depending on its application – ranging from commercial to industrial, education to healthcare and even hospitality!”

The built-in status monitoring dashboard provides on-demand reports of the ‘health’ of LED sources and drivers, highlighting any critical failure points that need attention. In addition to its routine maintenance capabilities, Light Boss provides automation of routine emergency light testing and maintenance requirements.

“A major advance of this integrated solution is that it can be applied to new builds, retrofits, old and new lighting” added Saima Shafi. “Light Boss modules are connected during the LED lighting upgrade, saving the time and costs of an additional lighting control installation. Because the technology is retrofittable, any luminaire and even individual lamps can be replaced with new LED and wireless-enabled luminaires.”

The company says the savings can be substantial due to the ability to operate the lighting where it is needed, rather than at 100% brightness constantly. This reduces energy consumption, extends lighting lifecycles and reduces maintenance costs.
