Omnitek’s technology enables customised high-performance vision and artificial intelligence (AI) inferencing capabilities on FPGAs for customers across a range of end markets, including: video conferencing, projection and display, medical vision systems, and more.

Founded in 1998 Omnitek has developed over 220 FPGA IP cores and accompanying software including solutions for WARP, ISP processing and video connectivity that significantly improve time-to-market for customers. Customers without FPGA expertise, using the company’s solutions, have been able to develop customised, integrated and highly efficient solutions on FPGAs.

The acquisition means that Intel will be able to deliver optimised and highly efficient solutions that improve time-to-market in a rapidly expanding market for FPGA-based vision applications.
